Spring break for many unis here in LOTFAP, clearly you're trying to get more Americans too :D.

For reference, this is on my list but I have zero idea how I'd get down to NZ at this moment. Still a lot of time between now and then though :).

I'm sure you will find a way between now and then.

Many thanks to straitman for bringing this event to my attention. Firstly, please colour me platinum. No flights for me - I can walk to the city from where I live (but won't). Secondly, thank you to penegal and serfty for their nice comments. I always enjoy getting together with AFF and FT folks who "get" our passion for travel.

To the organisers - please let me know where I can help, whether it's for restaurant recommendations, hotels or transport. New restaurants are popping up constantly. It's difficult even as a local to keep up, but, having said that, I have a couple of places in mind.

Oh, and thanks for choosing CHC as your next visit. There are still many challenges here but it is moving forward rather quickly with a large number of city sites currently under development.

If anyone has any questions re CHC, please feel free to contact me.

I'm a big advocate for supporting Christchurch so we thought it was time to make a visit, having allowed enough time for some redevelopment, but also support the ongoing change. I was amazed how much the city had changed between Feb and December last year! I'd love some restaurant suggestions to add to my list if you wouldnt mind PMing me?

Does that mean we will have someone helping us who is in the same country as the dinner? What a novel idea!

They do not normally do matched wines although they have offered to as they are in the process of updating their wine list.

I thought it worked well in WLG. What do people think? If there are enough interested I will investigate further.

Now to start looking at flights.*

*Yes - there and back!

Sounds good. I'm Gold at the moment and will confirm nearer the date. What's the recommendations for a good Hotel nearby?
