I was hoping someone could supply an insight to applying for a tourist visa to China for someone who lives out of the capital cities.
We have worked our way through the actual application form. It seems the only way to pay is by credit card & the payment authorisation sheet that has to be posted in requires all card numbers & details PLUS the 3 digit security code-seems a bit risky sending this in the post?

Hi,

Had to do the same earlier this year, no problems with the application or the credit card details.

Regards,

Kev

This is quite common, I've had to do it for bookings originating in other countries. It's just the risk you'll have to take, but it isn't huge- you are protected from fraudulent charges anyway.

The other option is to get your travel agent to do it for you. May cost a small fee but they do it by secure courier and will follow it up for you.

Thanks for the inputs. We have done quite a few os transactions over the years & encountered a few odd things but don't think we have ever had to include the security code on stuff going in the mail
