China removes COVID testing requirement for inbound passengers

Good news!


This must have been one of the last remaining countries to still have a pre-arrival testing requirement. No more testing required from today.
 
Oh sweet. Just in time for upcoming trip - also need to inform family as they're going but separately.
They were just asking the other day about what covid tests that was needed.
 
Not that it makes any diff - only reqt for last few months has been a rat test which was never checked - provided you fill out the pre-arrival health declaration and showed screen shot of QR code you could waltz through.

Edit: I should have added that Health Declaration for entry and exit still reqd

Leaving to go tomorrow for 2 weeks. Smart traveller says need Covid test within 48 hours of returning to Australia.

Anyone here been asked or is it just a RAT test
