Does QF load (on request) children's meals for domestic flights?
If the flight in question only offers a refreshment service, is there a children's version?

BTW, I'm not expecting much and my toddler can tolerate (usually) an adult meal/snack in most cases...

Thanks

Given their adult meals consist of things like muffins and cookies can’t imagine Qantas providing kids meals anymore. Maybe I just travel at the wrong time. Last flight it was crackers!

I haven't noticed any kids meals on domestic QF flights, although have seen the FAs hand out a colouring book on some flights.

I mostly fly city flyer flights so early morning breaky or evening dinner:
  • The adult breakfast is a choice between yoghurt with a muffin or hot meal (usually a quiche, or cheese& tomato toastie or sometimes bacon&egg on an english muffin) - and juice or water or tea or coffee.
  • The adult dinner usually has a cold choice (salad of some type) or a 1 or 2 hot choices mostly pasta or a curry&rice. Plus a dink (wine, beer or soft drink), and if they remember to come back through the cabin a lindt ball (only 1 out of the last 3 dinner flights handed out the lindt balls).
  • The last lunch flight i did had 3 party pies - 1 veggie, 1 chicken, 1 beef and tomato sauce.
  • The handful of mid morning, arvo or late evening flights I've done recently have offered rice crackers/corn chips with salsa, celery & carrot sticks (ick) or a cookie/muffin and a soft drink.
Id pack my own snacks if your worried the toddler want like the onboard option.

We have ordered the kids meal for our 3 year old for PER-MEL trips. It's usually pretty good a meal of some sort (hot option was lasagne one time from memory, don't remember the breakfast option sorry) along with nibblies, juice, fruit etc. All pretty good stuff, well way better than we were expecting!

I think you need to pre-order the child meal as it does not automatically get allocated by the system.

We have had some decent children meals for our 2 year old daughter but she doesn't usually eat these on flight but take with us in case she wants to eat something later.

Thanks all!.
QF880 to OOL was a refreshment sector, so nothing special was offered.
QF881 to MEL however was a lunch sector, the adults got bacon quiche whilst child's meal was a spinach and feta roll. If Master Texter remained awake I am sure he would have preferred quiche to the roll...
