Hey guys,
Does anyone know if parents needs to fill any immigration forms (or stat dec) for their child age 3 yrs (Australian Citizen) travelling outside Australia with their grand parents (not citizens of Australia)?, where child's parents are going to join in couple of weeks time.

Thanks.......

hpatelg,

Welcome to AFF.

I do not know of the legal answer to your question but logic to me is that the parents write a letter of permission and authorisation for the Grandparents to carry with them.

Have you looked at the DFAT web site as there is probably an answer there.

Get both parents to write the letter. Immigration are very aware of kidnapping

Thanks Guys,
That is great I was going to do that anyhow but I was after specific requirements if any (USA has a special consent form that you must fill) I dont think there is anything specific for Australia so I guess letters should be enough...

Regards,
