I just listened to an interesting podcast on Air France 447 framed along the lines of American Airline's Warren Van Der Burgh comment that the industry has turned pilots into “Children of the Magenta” who are too dependent on the guiding magenta-colored lines on their screens.

The podcast seems to take a few dramatic liberties, but I though it may be interesting to listen to on your next flight!
