Hi All,

I am arriving into PER from SIN with SQ at 2:40pm and am flying from PER to SYD at 11pm with DJ.

To save lugging my luggage around to dinner with some friends, is it possible to get to the domestic terminal and either check in or use bag drop early? I am flying J if that makes a difference?

Thanks

Are you able to check your bags all the way through?

You can't though check bags on International > Domestic trips, as your required to collect them. Clear customs & recheck them
Not correct. They are checked through. You pick them up, clear customs then drop them off again. Unless you change something there is no need for any retagging.

It works in LAX, SYD and many other places but depending upon ticketing it is not always an option which is why I asked the question.

As far as I know you should be ok to check in and drop your bags. I once tried this and was told that the earliest you could do it was 8 hours prior to departure. It used to say on the website but since the update I can't find it!

This is assuming that you are not able to check them through if you are on separate tickets. If you can check through it is a simple matter of bag dropping post customs.

Cheers,

Boof

With Virgins current setup, bags from most airlines still need to be re-tagged to be accepted in to Virgins handling systems.
