Hi all,

Just looking at some flights that would be QF from NTL-BNE-SYD and then BA from SYD-SIN and wondering if i can check in luggage at NTL and have it checked all the way through to SIN?

It would be all on the same PNR with about 6hrs between flights

Thanks

So there would be no need to check in with BA at Sydney airport then?

Would the NTL or BNE QF staff give the boarding pass for the BA flights?

NTL presumably. If it is one PNR then to the system you are going NTL-SIN. You may need to prompt them but they'll issue it for you.

The rule is as below (taken from: Qantas Website)
One PNR Separate PNR
ScenarioBoarding PassBaggageBoarding PassBaggage
QF to/from QFYesYesYesYes
QF to/from EKYesYesYesYes
QF to/from oneworldYesYesNo^No^
QF to/from non - oneworldYes*Yes*NoNo

^ Exemptions apply for customers travelling on a oneworld separate PNRs when using a combination of award travel and revenue travel. Note: This is a Qantas exemption and may not be supported by all oneworld airlines.
* Provided Qantas Interline and Inter-Airline Through Check-in (IATCI) agreements exist.

Your checked bag will be interlined at SYD no need to check in with BA just get the transfer bus over to international and head through ...

NTL should issue all BP's. Not an issue.
