Hi all,
Any ideas on the best place to buy a replacement iphone from the following selection
Aus /aus duty free
Dubai airport
London

Thanks

i read recently that australia is quite competitive for apple pricing (7th globally for ipads vs 5th for UAE) so unless you are earning pounds or dirham likely best to buy here.

try kogan.com if you dont mind a grey import

Didnt apple introduce price consistency into Australia recently? I never buy a phone outright so am not sure of the detail. I know apple stuff is very expensive in Europe.

Wow, lots of emotion. I'm not an apple fanatic but new Samsung doesn't do it for me & other family members love iPhone, so there is the convenience factor.
But where is cheapest?

Lets stick to the topic please, and do not allow this to degenerate into an Apple vs XYZ debate. If you want such a debate, then move it to the Playground.

If international travel ex-AU is already planned, consider pre-buying WOW, Coles Myer, or JB Hifi Gift Cards (accessible through RAC or employee incentive programs like API Lifestyle) to get 5% off. Then buy it from Big W to get EDR points; then take it through customs with you on your way out and claim the GST back.

This will give you guidance for Dubai

Apple in Smart Phones - Dubai Duty Free

Australian duty free will be at best the Apple Store Australian online price less 10%

Or buy at Apple and claim your GST back on departure if you leave within 30 days of purchase. Use your Woolies card at Target perhaps and get QF points, as well as the GST refund.

I did this comparison a few years back. Based on apple online shop pricing, and a guesstimate of tax refund when leaving the UK, I thought a UK purchase might save up to A$50. Since then the exchange rate has dived.

Anyway the prices have changed and looks like a new iphone 7 coming in September. Apples share price has dropped alot recently. ??time to buy?? Apple has bought Uber competitor in China Didi.

Mods this thread closed? Cheapest place to buy iphone?

So any clues on any deals for iPhone 14 Max Pro? Or where to buy some GCs or such to ease pain slightly?
I just bought one at Jbhifi
128GB retailed for $1899 and 256GB $2099
I got the guy to get me all the chargers and accessories I needed so he gave me discount
So effectively got the 256 for price of 128.
Its a cracker of a phone
Love it

Plenty of HOME giftcards with commbanks and other CC rewards. Easy to pay for the phone this way

Handy to know. Last time I tried JB it was only part of a telco plan.

Officeworks is another option with occasionally discounts (and now FBs points…).

I like JB as they give the staff leeway to negotiate. I also like that -in my dealings - they seem technically very competent and take time
