Hi jtchia and welcome to AFF.

The best I've found are $1435 + $308.26 tax - $57 discount = $1686.26. This was on zuji.com.au which is normally as cheap as you'll get. QF site for the same days are $1732 + $12 CC fee = $1744.

If you can get $1400 and it includes tax then I'd go for it.

wow, that was quick, thanks for the reply, im not sure if it included air tax, i will need to go back and check, so zuji.com.au is one of the cheapest places for air fares?

thanks

You could also look at travel.com.au and even webjet.com.au Personally I don't like webjet, but to each his own.

... I didn't look at travel.com.au or webjet.com.au for the dates you are looking at.

Welcome to AFF jtchia :)

While not much help for this year, please note that the dates you want are some of the busiest travel days of the whole year. Therefore no chance of sale and to get the best fares book as early as you can (up to 1 year in advance).

Using the ITA Software Trip Planner , the cheapest flights appear to cost from arond $1700.

And that's via SYD as QF29 appears to be sold out (Y0) on Boxing Day (and the 27th as well).

You could save time but not money by departing on Xmas day; QF29 is available at a trip cost of $1800.

Have you notcied on Webjet that there is a new ad, which blocks over the 'thinking' progress bar? Seems to get stuck there, its really annoying!

You may find some VS specials b but will need to get yourself to Sydney. BUt as others have mentioned, departures from Australia on Boxing Day are always heavy so the cheap fares go early.

Only if your ticket is issued in Australia. ;)
