Cheap flight required from LAX to Perth

Afternoon all

With all of your knowledge out their can anybody recommend a cheap one way flight from LAX to Per sometime between 10/08 and 15/08. I know my airlines from Perth but I struggle with whats available from LAX.

It looks like your cheapest option is to buy a return flight with VA LAX-PER and just throw away the return.

I'm seeing USD1068 all in on the VA website (dep 10 Aug ret 5 Sep)

Try V Australia?

Can see fares around $790USD one way on expedia and travelocity on VA.

Or $484USD to SYD then $165AUD from SYD (but in all likelihood requiring long transit ... up to 12hrs ...in SYD to protect against being on separate tix)

All carriers to and from the US are full-service, with the quasi-exception of V, where you get one alcoholic beverage with dinner, and are required to purchase additional.

I noticed Delta had some good fares but haven't looked recently.

Your options are:

UA (United)
DL (Delta)
QF (Qantas)
NZ (Air New Zealand, LAX-AKL-PER)
or of course V Australia.

They're the most direct paths from LAX to PER.

Basically its LCC prices with full service! LCC's wouldn't have a hope on the route at the moment.

Showing on Air New Zealand US website($668 with AI price of $701.10) with fare available on 9th, 11th or 14th of August. Also found fare on kayak.com for $681 AI. I have used NZ several times between MEL - SFO via AKL and have always found their service quite good. Personally I prefer their 747-400 flights to the 777-200 due to extra leg room.

If you can get that price with NZ I would say definitely go with them - we did PER-AKL-LAX return in May and the service was very good, functional AVOD on all legs and better than average seat pitch in Y. Also the transfer in AKL is much nicer than in SYD.

The only downside is having to clear customs in PER which has to be Australia's slowest, though NZ175 does arrive at a reasonably quiet time.
