I’m planning my first Circle Pacific trip for later in the year and have a gotten a lot of great advice from the archives. Thanks so much to everyone!
At the moment, routing would be something like DPS-SIN-HKG-NRT-SFO-LAS-LAX-SYD-DPS which fits into a DCIR22. The aim would be to ticket through the CX office Jakarta (someone prev. posted that CX Jakarta take Aus credit cards over the phone).
From what I’ve read, the cost of this ticket would be:
$3995 (base fare) + $234 (3 extra stopovers) + taxes.
Unable to find a tax calculator anywhere, I just made some dummy bookings in Expedia and estimated taxes to be somewhere in the region of $1000.
So my question is… what’s the catch? This fare is so much cheaper than individually booking business seats that I’m a little cautious. Have I overlooked a cost? Is there poor seat availability?
Thanks in advance.
