During my next trip (a DONE3 on 081 ticket stock), I have day stops planned in London and Dubai. This part of the ticket is booked as BUD-xLHR-xDXB-xLHR-PEK with LHR-DXB-LHR on QF2/QF1 (and BUD-LHR on BA with QF code).

I have around 10.5 hours in London between QF3503 and QF2 and around 18 hours in Dubai between QF2 and QF1 (and another 9 odd hours in London between QF1 and BA39 if I want another trip into the city).

Since I won’t be staying in either city overnight, I won’t have any hotel booked. Can you book Chauffeur Drive to pick up/drop off at another landmark such as a train station, museum or mall? eg Kings Cross Station or Dubai Mall

In my past experiences they will happily drop you where ever you request. While not a train station, I've been picked up from a friends house in Islington before. My driver sent me a text confirming when he was outside but to come down whenever I was ready.

The LHR drivers are very flexible. I always get picked up on the street due to my travel circumstances. I give them an indicative postcode when booking. The driver then rings/texts me from a mobile when he/she's close. If I'm somewhere difficult to find, I just ring back and provide directions over the phone.

Another vote for ease with London drivers.
Family member was at a private residence at White city (?) When he was coming home last year
No issues with pick up

Pick up and drop off to any registered address would be be good I would have thought. Range is decent in London too; I’ve been driven to the eastern M25 boundary without an issue.

I can agree with the others, very flexible in London. I once got them to drop me off at a random office address in Dubai which wasn't a problem either so seems to work there as well (can't be absolutely sure about DXB pick up, never had an address other than a hotel but the drivers also call you if anything goes wrong so I'd assume it should be fine too). In both London and DXB the allowed distance is very generous- in the latter anywhere in the UAE which is a fabulous benefit if you want to go to RAK or Abu Dhabi.

(Edit : Removed unneeded quote)

Our experience has been that CD has been very flexible with both pick-up and drop-off. On a recent round trip to LHR from SYD, we nominated our pick-up from Central station grand concourse (we live a fair bit more than 40 km from SYD) for the Emirates codeshare QF8419. On return on QF2 we provided the UK postcode for our family's house in a small village west of Reading and the driver found us OK. On return to Sydney, we were dropped off at Central without any problems and then caught the train the rest of the way home. With both non airport or hotel pick-ups the driver called on our mobile when in the pick-up area.

Hi guys,

Does QF offer chauffeur drive anymore for F flights on its own metal ?
I know DXB used to still be a goer long after the benefit was enhanced for US routes.
But what about now, do flights to SIN qualify ? Or only if ticketed all the way to LHR ?

Thanks

The QF website says QF 1/2 and QF9/10. There's also a separate page announcing the new QF35/36 A380 services which adds there's a chauffeur drive for passengers on those flights connecting in SIN to the QF1/2.

But check your MMB page, sometimes there's a link for chauffeur drive even outside these requirements. Although I'm not sure if that's generated by onwards EK flights in the itinerary (rather than terminating in SIN).

Hi MEL_Traveller,

What/where is this separate page you speak of ?
Also on the QF website ?
I thought the underline denoted a link but it didn't seem clickable..

Sorry. The underline was just to emphasise it was a separate page!

I didn't manage to find the same page again, but here's another one: Qantas and Emirates | Qantas

Right at the end of the page it outlines all the flight combinations eligible for chauffeur drive.

Im pretty sure the answer is yes to both of these but just wanted to check.
If in J on QF9 starting in MEL do you still get CD &
If on QF9 in J starting in PER you also can get CD.
