Hi
does anyone have [or ever used] a Callpod Chargepod? I found the US website but can't seem to find any info on it relating to purchase in Aus.
According to their website it: "simultaneously charges many of your mobile devices while eliminating all those cluttering chargers around the house, work and car. All from just one convenient outlet.
The included travel pouch makes the Chargepod perfect for at work, vacation and just on-the-go. Check out our optional International Power Pack accessory.
The Chargepod V2™ is the world's most versatile and powerful multi-device charger and docking system for PC / Mac laptops and mobile devices"
Many thanks

Their website has a store locator that doesn’t seem to be able to find anything in australia.

Haven’t used one, but I hear it only comes with 1 adaptor, and additional adaptors are USD$10 each. Steep, couldn’t you do the same with a USB hub plugged into a power socket, all you need is the different USB adaptors.

.... and you can buy a powered USB hub on eBay for about $10 incl postage.

Thanks sam & straitman

Is this anything like the power mat?

I'm not sure - I confess to being a luddite about things like this. It looks like this.
The reason I'm interested in something like this is we will be in UK + Europe for 10 weeks & I don't want to take a plethora of chargers for phones, ipods, laptops etc etc.
thanks

I have a Lenovo travel charger that has various tips for different devices, so one brick charges my notebook, ipod and phone from the car or mains, the powerbug at officeworks is not a bad option for powering USB devices at a much lower price ($8):

thanks - the Lenovo charger sounds promising [I have a Lenovo laptop] as I will need to charge through 12v on the yacht & mains when on land . Does it do multiple devices or one at a time? I also have a Dell laptop & charger that can take a mains or 12v connection - can I then charge the phones etc through a USB hub to the laptop while the laptop is charging?
I warned that I was a luddite:(

It will do two at a time with an optional cable, which is a compromise but at the end of the day if you need to charge more than two devices you have other issues :D

Around $150 on special from time to time and the tips are extra. Targus have a similar unit but its a brick!
