Some of you might be after an easier way to change your FF# in your booking. In my case it was booking a flight on BA with AA miles and wanting to change the AA FF# out for the QF# where I have status (rapidly diminishing it must be noted).

Just go to the Finnair website and to the manage booking tab. There you will find a quick and easy way to change your FF#.

The status change went through straight away as I was able to select seats through BA MMB as soon as I logged in. The booking appeared in my QF account at the same time.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The finnair method has previously been posted here but always good to have a reminder.

If your AA redemption is all Qantas flights then just enter the AA PNR in the Qantas MMB and it will appear and let you amend seating as required.

I just stumbled upon it. I was trying the older LAN method using the ticket number, but that door appears to have been shut for a long time now.

Does the QF method allow you to change FF#?

It lists both numbers.

Rather than just use the QF MMB you actually need to be logged in to your QFF account and then bring up the AA booking using the AA PNR.

Not only do you get to select better seats (status dependant) but your QFF number will also be added to the booking and the AA flights will show up under the Amadeus (QF) which is different to the AA PNR.

If you are travelling on a revenue fare however you will still need to call or check at the lounge to make sure that your status credits and points are being credited to the FF program of your choice.

I had a QF partner award on AA and I just entered the QF Amadeus pnr into www.checkmytrip.com which then displayed the AA Sabre pnr.

Always select your AA seats direct on the AA website otherwise they won't stick. Enter your QF ffn into the AA booking before you do the seats.

You should get the QF points & SC on a revenue fare if your QF ffn is in the pnr & thereby on your boarding pass.

Despite QF J Classic Ward had been made from my own (WP) account, the FF entry was blank and would not accept my manual entry of the QFF number - on a number of attempts.

Frustrated, I then entered my AA number and..... it stuck.

Then I went over to AY to see if I can change it back to my original wish - QF WP.

Upon opening the AY MMB, it showed the AA number.

After entering my QF WP number, I keep seeing this error message

[h=1]Please note.[/h]

  • The same frequent flyer number has been entered more than once. Please validate your entries and try again. (1302)

The odd thing is when I log in QF MMB again, it steadfastly showed the AA number.

Yes, I know it would take only a phone call to Qantas ..... but what's gone wrong ?

Any one know a workaround for *A? Booked an Sq award with Krisflyer miles but want to change to my Amigo Gold number for benefits but can't get Amigo number to stick with Sq booking...
