Changing to an earlier flight

Had a nice surprise tonight when I arrived at the lounge. Was originally scheduled on the QF489 at 2030. Had had a quiet afternoon at work so left early and got to the airport around 1730. Upon presenting my card at the desk the CSA asked if I would prefer to fly forward. With a few taps of his keyboard he had me in 5B on the QF459 at 1800 so I basically turned back around and headed for the gate. Meant I arrived into MEL at 1935 rather than 2205. Thanks for the proactive customer service QF!
