A while back I booked a return SYD-LHR fare in business, which happened to be be a sale fare (but most importantly, not a flexi fare). Thing have changed now and I'm not coming back, and I'm hoping there's a way to change it to a one way ticket.

The price is relatively the same (one way ticket is $300 cheaper than what I paid for the return), and I was hoping to 'move' the one way flight to a special PNR I already have. Does anyone have any experience in having the full refund fee waived, or at least reduced? I would be very happy if I was able to change my flight to a one way on my 'special' PNR without having to pay any big fees - the return flight would qualify me for WP so that would work very nicely.

Do I have somewhat of a chance of this working out for me, or am I dreaming?

You might be able to get a small refund if cancelling the return, or maybe not with change fees.

But I'd say no chance of the special request
