Hey,

I did a reservation for a flight with AA in september. But the booking class is Q and I gave my QFF number. Can I change my QFF number to my AA number to earn AA points?
I had a look on the aa website, but it seems that it is not possible. Is it possible to change at cheeking?

Cheers.

I don't think you can change it online, but you can call them to remove your QF number and add in your AA number. If you hold status with QF, would recommend waiting until after you check in and get a BP with "PRIORITY AACESS" written on it (you should be able to get that sorted out at an AAdmiral's Club).

It isn't a problem getting it changed at checkin or the AC.
Also flashing your QFF card at boarding allows you priority boarding even if it isn't on your BP.Well it has worked on a couple of occasions for us anyway.

Hi,

thank you for this discussion.

i would lkie to change my qff number in several pre existing bookings to my aa one - need the miles in that account

looks like i need to ring to change it rather than do it via the website

however, i have higher elite status with qff compared to aa and i guess have had access to better seat allocations via the qantas elite status

if i try to change my qff to the aa one after checkin, say make the change in the qantas club, will i lose the better seats or wil they remain ?

many thanks for your responses

You certainly can do it in the QC or at checkin.Just make sure you are issued a new BP with the AA number on it so even if it gets st*ffed up you can correct it later. On one occasion it happened to us but it was swapping an AA number to QFF at the Q lounge that created problems.
Never had a problem at an AC and they were able to correct that 1 occasion for us anyway.
