Hi,

I've booked EK F STN - DXB - BNE.

Unfortunately STN - DXB has been moved off the "gamechanger" 777 new F so I wanted to change that leg to LGW as that's a 380 at least.

Have been told by QFF agent (sounded like it was in Phillipines?) that as the two bookings were linked I couldn't change the first leg without deleting the second leg from the itinerary.

Is this true? Should I try calling again? Also don't want to risk losing the second leg if this is indeed true and another agent doesn't realise this...

It's possibly a married segment which makes it trickier. Try get through to Hobart centre. HUACA.

Alas, I'm only silver though managed to get through to Hobart on a weekend a few weeks ago. Do you know what time Hobart is open until?

It's usually open really early in the morning and I've had luck on a Saturday. But it's pot luck.

IMFFHO, if it was in J and I was flying solo, sure, I might try to change and accept the risk of disaster...

But in F ... I wouldn't risk it ... the old 777 F cabin might not "change games", or have a shower, but it can be less crowded than the a380 ... and you can get that shower in on the next leg.

An EK F award seat in the hand is worth two in the bush. ;)

Assuming LON-DXB is available, is there any availability from DXB-BNE, SYD or MEL on or around the day you want to travel.
