Changing ff number

I booked a flight on sq for next week using my krisflyer number. I decided to change to my velocity account - I am only KrisFlyer sliver vs velocity platinum. Is there a trick to making the change? I haven’t been able to, the only message says to enter a valid Ota with no other message.

Definitely can't change an award flight booked through KF but revenue should be possible by phone or at checkin. I don't know an online way but others may

I asked this question recently and the basic theme of the answers is only KrisFlyer numbers can be entered to Krisflyer award bookings.

I have some bookings currently without any frequent flyer number at all - the only one I can add is Krisflyer.

Revenue, you can enter Velocity at booking.

Thanks, it is a paid booking. I’m hanging on to my sq points for an rtw j award with my wife, or suites if my kids don’t come!

How did you go? Ive been trying to change my flight in Sept but keeps saying its an invalid number and to change at checkin.

I think that I changed it on check in. boarding passes still shows KF silver and the lower boarding group but showing my va platinum card was fine for lounge access and to board with *A good group.

I am having the same issue on a revenue flight. For some reason, it says invalid OTP when I enter even a valid Airpoints or Velocity FF. The call center team in Manila has no clue. They said they are not trained in "redemptions". I tried explaining to them this is not a redemption, but no go.

Is there a Star website similar to RJ.com for OW where FF can be changed?

I'm also having the same issue on a redemption booking. Should I call to select blocked seats available to a Velocity Gold?

I recently experienced the same issue. OTA = one time authorisation (I think), the website was not functioning. Corresponded with KF_Contact by email to ascertain if they could change it , no longer possible though they have gone on a previous occasion. Advised to change on line ( which I couldn’t) or change at the airport.
Tried a day later on line and to my surprise the KF FF details were removed from my booking and I could select VA FF against the booking with a OTA emailed to me.
Suggest contacting KF advising them of your account access/OTA issue email

This issue has arisen a few times and apart from changing from KF to VFF at the airport, was successful today in changing online, for a future booking. You need to contact KF help, I did so via a very friendly chat/help person online and they need to delete the existing KF FF membership associated with your booking. Then you area able to enter the VFF membership via manage my booking.
