I'm always flight a little frustrated with not having quite enough time to go from a convenient SQ flight to a convenient Cebu Pacific seat.

I'm thinking of taking SQ256 BNE-SIN which arrives at 1530. The 5J flight is scheduled for 1645.

If I am travelling without bags I can easily make the 5J gate which will probably involve going from T3 to T2.

I plan to do online checkin for 5J prior to leaving Brisbane. I assume they can perform the identity check at the boarding gate meaning I wont need to clear immigration.

Apart form the obvious problem if SQ256 is excessively delayed, is there any other consideration to transit from SQ to a LCC at SIN?

Because 256 has connections mainly to SE Asia and India etc it often comes into T2 anyway. Did yesterday and today.

Thanks for that reminder. I think that is what happened for me when I took this one in May. I was walking down the arm and walked past the 5J boarding gate.

If I make the flight to Clark, then I arrive there by 9pm ish. If I need to take the next SQ flight to MNL it arrives 11pm, took an hour to get out last time, then the two hour car ride to Clark. 9pm via 2am = :)

There shouldn't be any issues to worry about other than inbound delays.

What would a last minute ticket cost and would you be prepared to pay for it if things did not go in your favour?

I would rather get to destination later than risk having issues.

We're all different. Last week it took me almost 3 hrs to travel the 100km or so from MNL to the vicinity of Clark. If a direct flight there is an option, could be worth the risk. MNL traffic is never fun, although at 11pm it should be much quicker.

Another consideration is the transfer tram/train between T2&t3 at the northern end of terminals are currently shut round the clock for maintenance so it is a stroll to use southern one or there is a bus that is filling in that runs every 15 minutes and takes a scenic route via T1 baggage sorting area and gives one a very good look at the under workings at SIN should someone have 30mins to do the free tour in the name of terminal transfer - which I had the delight in doing on Monday

No problems unless inobound is delayed. Do you need to get the OLCI BP verified prior to boarding?
