Changi Matters

Not sure if a new post is needed or just to include here -
Im planning to fly CNS to KUL via SIN at the end of July. I need to be in KUL on the Friday morning, with the flight from CNS being Wednesday night (no Thursday flights).
Would appreciate suggestions on what to do for a day in Singapore (havent been before) and if its better to stay at the airport adjacent hotels for 2 nights.
To assist - Ill eat anything and enjoy walking/exploring cities.
For 2 nights, stay in the city. It is very easy to get between the airport and city.
Nighttime is the best time in Singapore!

Hello Changi'ers - hoping someone here might be able to help me out.

I have a flight that lands to SIN 1.20am. Does anyone have experience whether I will be able to get a Grab at that time?
I am familiar with where to go to get a Grab at Changi, but never had to do it at this time. Hoping someone will know if drivers will be operating in the early hours and if not, are there any other feasible options at that time?

Found out the hard way that the Changi airport SkyTrains are not operational 2am to 5am.

I needed to get from T3 to T2 airside ... nice little 20 minute stroll at 4am ...
We also found out the hard way. Ours was T3 to T1. To make it worse we saw the last train departing T3.

If you had arrived on a flight (I.e. not already having been into Singapore that trip) much much quicker to use the e gates and walk across the middle directly between the two terminals landside (above the MRT station) . Probably about 15 mins all up including immigration at both ends.

Yes no problems. Sometimes you have surge pricing though. We normally pay $25 to get home, maybe $30 around and after midnight. But I’ve also seen at some hours of the day it get to $50+. If that’s the case we wait 10 mins or catch a taxi or look at one of the alternatives- Gojek, Ryde, CDG Zig are other options.
