I note Changi Airport via SATS offers the following service:

Early Check-in
Check-in early for hassle-free enjoyment of Changi’s facilities, services and shopping!
Terminal 1 :

Qantas Airways

0000 hrs – 1400 hrs
1400 hrs – 2359 hrs
Up to 24 hrs prior to flight departure

Has anyone had any experience with this service? Is it reliable/will they recognise QP/FF baggage benefits etc.?

It could be really useful for my upcoming trip with a layover in SIN longer than 24hrs.

Cheers

Hi Brett,

I've used early check in at SIN a couple of times.

No problems whatsoever.

I have used it when attending a show at the Expo, I simply go out to Changi in the morning by Cab, check in and then take the train back to the expo for the day! Works very well.

What is the benefit of this for you? It seems a hassle to go out to the airport and then back to the City?

If you are WP you can use the SATS Premier Checkin for QF early check in.

You don't have to use the specific QF early check in counter

Yeah I've used Early Check-in before. Was handy because my hotel turfed me out about 12pm, and I had an 8pm flight. Went out the airport, checked in and dropped off my bag, then caught the MRT back to do my shopping, then used it again to go back to the airport.

I've also used the SATS premium checkin before around 8 hours before my flight without any dramas (although I was flying F that day - havn't had the need to use it for any other flight as the queues are always short)
