Changes to International Booking Display

When I checked my international QF travel via my QFF account, the flight description had changed slightly this morning with the following added:

"Note: Your flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles will be in Economy! "

I had booked in Y so this was always going to be the case unless by some miracle a points upgrade came through,

Has anyone else noticed this and why would they put that in for a Y booking?

I'm going to guess its to avoid confusion with the upcoming chnages to fare codes. It will also ensure pax know they are in economy, not premium econmy, ie Y not Y+

I have a similar message on a mixed Y/J itinerary but the note is on the J segments.

I have two international flights, SYD-AKL, WLG-SYD, coming up in the next few weeks and nothing has changed in the display.

Could it be that only itineraries with flights on a 747 are affected?

That's what I see for an upcoming QF94 flight. (All 4 segments of this booking show thus)

My 2 upgraded Domestic segments did have "Your flight to Sydney will be in Business Class" displayed but it seems to have disappeared now. (I'm still in U/Business!)

Perhaps this only displays when you have a mixed class booking?

I have had the same with a WT+ fare with Y addons to AMS

Nope - have seen it in a PNR with one sector.

I have seen it before and thought it had something to do with the upgrae request.

It showed 2x HKG-SYD segments, one confirmed with note saying "... flight will be economy class" and the the other as waitlisted with "...flight will be business class". Only noticed it within 48hrs of departure time (not sure exact T minus).
