Changes to EK chauffeur drive booking made through Qantas (award ticket)

Just for info really.

I had made an EK CD booking on a Qantas award tickets (the service since axed by Emirates, but bookings honoured).

I went to change the pick-up address in MMB on the Qantas site (which is where Qantas says to go) - but couldn't find any CD booking. Called QF Premium line. Very helpful agent went to change it for me - she found the booking, but couldn't change it. Consulted her supervisor - supervisor says it should be able to be changed, but couldn't also. Agent called Emirates. Emirates says changes not possible without cancelling the original booking, and of course no new bookings allowed!!

QF supervisor is going to put through a manual request to Emirates - but noted NOT to cancel the booking!
 
I believe EK has been playing hard ball on this, so you may not have any luck with that approach. You could try getting the details of the CD operator and contacting them, or if that doesnt work at this stage, change the details when they contact you in the day(s) before the flight.
 
I had a schedule change. Called QF today. They called EK. Said no changes possible without cancellation (and therefore loss of CD).

EK's suggestion to me was that I should wait for the call from the chauffer 24-48 hours before my flight and tell them of my change of address.
 
Asking for the change when they call sounds a plan. If no, then my new hotel isn't far from the one I originally booked for, so will simply go from A to B under my own steam.

Emirates use subbies and I have found them all to be very easy and affable..BUT .. O/s they may make contact before pickup..caveat emptor
We had no advice at all for the Oslo pickup and no way to find if or when….until he rocked up bright eyed and bushy tailed 20 min early…..
Hughes have the Brisbane gig and always msg in advance
