Changes to CBA Travel Insurance Activation

Just paid with PayPal. Full amount appeared as one transaction.

Handy to know, I have always paid just using my card on the Qantas site and they have always broken the payments into two and often under $500. Not usually an issue as I tend to have other things to book but still an inconvenience.

Well the new PDS is now live for the XCover insurance and as of today new policies are activated under them.

I took a PDF or the above and a PDF of the old Covermore PDS and asked chatgpt for differences.

Amazingly most things are identical. Limits and excess remain the same, inclusions remain the same minus the removal of purchase security, extended warranty, price guarantee and interstate flight inconvenience - all of these removals weren't really related to overseas travel insurance anyway.

Some subtle changes like flooding and wildfires are now defined as 50 km² or more to be a natural disaster but otherwise everything else the same.
