Hi all,
On a flight SYD-HBA during the week, the service was slightly different to usual with copies of the Australian handed out to people and no less than three water runs. Crew said food was to be introduced shortly on these flights (referring solely to SYD-HBA vv flights). Something different happening soon? (oh and I must say the CS was brilliant and, for a refreshing change, gave all the announcements themselves, putting a bit of emotion into it)

Full service is coming on all flights soon, depending on who you listen to ;), watch this space

So are you saying service was 3 water runs and no food or proper drinks? I'm alarmed by the phrase food to be introduced shortly.

No, no. 3 water runs on top of normal pay as you go service. I'm wondering why there were so many copies of The Australian onboard. And, why, at present, is Hobart the only capital city to not have free alcohol on flights leaving between 4pm and 7pm? Poor Tassie...

Various stories about the roll-out schedule of the inclusive meal service, but the one consistent thing is that Virgin is heading in that direction.
