Change to Qantas Lounge Pass Transfers Effective July ‘26

Annoyingly, not if they are booked on QF3 all the way from SYD-JFK. If their inbound SYD-AKL flight is any other flight number, then it's possible.

I've tried to attach a pass on the SIN transit for a friend flying QF2 LHR-SYD. I was told that using a pass was not possible on stops where the flight number remains the same, only on transits & departures. Double checked and confirmed by VIP team too.
Thanks for that disappointing news - good to know beforehand.

Mrs C is flying Qantas to Europe via SIN. 1st leg QF35 MEL > SIN no prob attaching a lounge pass. 2nd leg QF255 SIN > CDG when trying to attach a lounge pass it says "Not Available". Any idea why?

Assuming it's a J lounge pass:

At this point they should just tell you what lounges passes are eligible at.

I am curious - why Singapore? I get Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart (redevelopment/works) and LA (OneWorld but QF operated) but I recall that lounge certainly wasn't short on space. Is it due to the PER-LHR service being re-routed through SIN, or is this a semi-permanent thing?

SIN has been full to the brim whenever I've been there, and the queue for the showers is longer than many flights.

SIN before the rerouting was already getting full. Between QFs own flights many other OW pax tend to use it too.

Now they've added effectively 2 additional flights and upgauged QF81/82 the lounge most likely is full all the time.

On a side note, the only Int'l J lounges currently accepting passes seen to be:

MEL J
AKL J
HKG J
LHR J

Did I miss any? ( And yes the only Australian port is MEL it seems).

So these passes are basically unusable / useless?

Wellington?

The change to only have travel companions use the passes is possibly because of the very crowded lounges. Perhaps J passengers and WPs/P1s have also been complaining? Not to mention there is no room available for Qantas to sell entry passes!
