Change of notice period for QFF enhancements (benefit limitations)

My point was that under the QC T&Cs, material access changes should be notified to Members in writing - not that the access should be listed in the T&Cs.

I think you'll find that changes to QC T&C will be notified using their best efforts. Material reductions to benefits under QFF T&C have to be notified as per the OP. Removal of access to some lounges doesn't fall into either of those categories.

However, as I alluded to in my previous post, removal of lounge access that was significant part of your intended use of the QC membership triggers the clause that entitles members to a refund of their remaining membership fees.

I would suggest that anyone who has lifetime gold and remaining QC on hold would be crazy to not have intended to use their QC membership to access BA lounges. ;)

I would humbly suggest that the wholesale removal of a Partner Lounge network (apart from where there is a specific routing exemption) is a material change. QF should have notified QC members immediately it became aware, rather than allowing QC members who were not participants to various forums to be embarrassed at the Lounge entrances when BA said no.

Of course, the "out" is that there's no definition of what a "material change" is and, as you've highlighted, what you and I consider to be "material", we can happily disagree on.

I sort of agree but given flights are often booked many months in advance then additional notice is useful.

Good point - especially as you read about people having to book classic and points+pay FASA and JASA or Y+ award bookings 11months and 29 days out from when the flights are taken.

Its probably worth pointing out that the QC terms and conditions also have a get out clause if you dont like the changes, to a certain extent QFF does not, at least in the form of getting your money back LOL!

I'm sure Red Roo will post something on here if he thinks there is something worthy of a comment.

It may be a material change but it has NOTHING to do with the QFF Terms and conditions. That is the point, the issue does not have anything to do with QFF. It is a QC matter. As I've said the QC terms and conditions, which as entirely separate to QFF, allow for a refund if you are substantially deprived on an intended use of your QC membership (NOT QFF membership). As repeated by Markis10. It is very important to remember that QFF and QC are two separate, but related, programs.
