Anyone think they might add another few months on these for Choice fares and above?

The double status credits period has been extended as I recall, and pax numbers not yet up to pre COVID figures of course, so any chance do others think?

The choice upgrades were already extended from end March to June. I would not expect any further kindness.

I thought pax numbers have been stated that they are at pre covid levels recently.

They were months back, then covid came again, but very recently I thought I'd heard numbers were good again. For this reasoning and the fact that there's zero restrictions I don't foresee any extension IMO.

I had to pay for changes recently for a trip end of year, was very odd seemed like I was getting jibbed, paying for changes, wtf ha.

QF & JQ of course flying at +10% over pre covid levels, not all bags turn up though!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Depends on the past uptake of them I guess.

Was just looking at an impulse Cairns or Darwin booking for August. If part upgradeable we'd do it, if not, will not bother most likely.

If they feel a few million bucks of extra impulse bookings will flow, who knows? SYD-DRW is over $1000 rt in choice for 2.

They totally control upgrade 'X' inventory, so just extra bucks, if on cabins they know are often only historically part filled.

Yes I’ve become quite accustomed to being able to cancel or change flights for free. Mind you it’s always been for a good reason over the last two years - borders closing, close contact, symptoms etc. The latter two threats haven’t yet gone away. I’m a bit wary.

I’ll miss being able to upgrade on choice fares. It was fantastic.

My guess is it's unlikely they'll extend this. Though with many J fares actually cheaper than Flex if booked a little bit out or on flights without high J loads they seem a bit pointless on many routes TBH!

FWIW you can still cancel with no penalty if you actually test positive for Covid. Only relevant on choice or below but worth knowing. Requires a phone call, which mercifully isn't nearly as painful as it would be on QF.

I dont see this being extended. Business class always seem to be full.
I've also noticed that rewards seats in business aren't always available on all flights as they used to be.
I think with the lower business makes this redundant.
Nor do I think the status bonus will be extended either.
