Chances of a points upgrade on QF128?

Hi all,
I recall a thread where you could ask clever members what your upgrade chances were on an upcoming flight but I don't seem to be able to find it. Has it disappeared?

I'm flying QF128 next Tue 6th Jan in Y+ and have applied for a points upgrade and I'm curious to know if there's many spare J seats. It'll be a 747 so I'm hoping most will have tried to avoid it and gone for the A380 on either side of it (which had no Y+ seats when I booked quite a few months ago).

I'm Pleb silver btw.

It's an refurb'd 747 so I'd be keen to do a video review of it and Hong Kong's new J lounge.

Hi PaulST,

Coincidently, my wife and I are booked on the same flight and also have upgrade requests in.

I have been keeping an eye on Expert Flyer and I would say our chances are pretty good (we are both WP).

We got upgrades on the way over on QF127 on the 380, even got seats in the F cabin.

I've just checked EF and our Y seat selections have gone, hope this is a good sign.

Happy to keep you updated on the flight status and hope to see you in the J cabin onboard.

Hi Dalek, LOL hopefully there'll be quite a few empty J seats because your WP status obviously gives me the boot.

Yes, if possible, please keep me posted on the details via PM. I suspect if I'm upgraded, my booking will change online <24hrs before the flight? I'm obviously overseas so I won't get the SMS.

As I found out these past couple of weeks the upgrade request can be processed at T-60 hours.

I take phone with me overseas to receive sms and phone calls but don't answer the phone calls.
