OneWorld Emerald status provides access to OneWorld lounges when travelling on a OneWorld airline. The CL is NOT a OneWorld Lounge. But a CL member does get Qantas Platinum FF status and hence OneWorld Emerald status as well.

I agree that that is the way it works, but going by the wording on the OW site

oneworld.com said:
The oneworld® alliance airlines provide some 400 lounges across the globe. If you are an Emerald or Sapphire level top-tier member of one of our frequent flyer programmes, you will have access to any of these lounges before departure, no matter which oneworld airline you are flying. Lounge access is available if the departing flight from that airport is marketed and operated by a oneworld carrier. Access is subject to lounge capacity.

it does state that you have access to *any* lounge of an OW airline, not ( how it used to be worded and how it actually works ) that you have access to 1st class and business class lounges. Logically , there should be access for a QF Platinum member to the Concorde Room based on this wording and a BA member to a CL

Methunks some more thought should have been put into the website

Although it would be very unprofessional, it would be a breath of fresh air to have a Qantas staffer (the so called 'lounge dragons') , when faced with a cheeky emerald with some OW lounge access policy write up, to respond with a simple

"Don't be stupid"

and that is the end of that... :D
