Short answer is the plat card is very good (although you obviously need to chat what benefits are 'real' for you) and the centurions additional benefits are v hard to justify above plat card in pure financial terms (e.g. extra hotel status, lounge access) --- if you do a search for centurion card on this forum, one of the threads outlines the benefits

Thanks. I also have a US-based Plat which is cheaper than the Aussie one and has a few extra perks; I'll need to evaluate the incremental perks versus the extra cost. I will search the forum; thanks for the suggestion.

There isn’t much difference IMO. Platinum is a great product. Centurion doesn’t offer much more unless you’re a frequent traveler from what I’ve seen.

if you already have US Platinum, depending on how much you’re putting through it, might be worth paying the higher Aussie annual fee. With the exchange rate where it is, you’re earning 0.67 FF points (on the basis of 1:1 transfer to airlines) vs 1.125 FF points/$ - that difference trumps the AF IMO. If you make Cebturion though, you’d get the US version which is meant to be better than the Australian version. YMMV.
