I wouldn't bother with eh upgrade, I'd just put up the food while not great it does the job and from the QP you side and stare out the runways.

Just to feedback.

My mtg finished on time and I was able to make it to the airport with enough time to catch the earlier flt home. I asked at the counter and not only got on the earlier flight but also kept the J upgrade. This was not specifically acknowledged except was told “catering not assured” which didn’t matter as they were serving Feta salad which few people took up.

I didn’t think QF was obliged to uphold a point upgrade if you voluntarily changed flights?

So for the sake of science I went to both the J lounge and the QP. Many posters are correct the major difference is the inclusion of “gruel” which on this day was meant to be Butter Chicken (more like potato curry with miniscule chicken bits) and I think better desserts. Interestingly the soups and salsds were different between the two lounges.
