Plenty of views no replies :(

Ended up going Mondial $200 a year for USA.
Any good?

Backup is CBA PLAT Travel Card Insurance.

PLANT, thanks for the PM asking me to respond to this thread. Unfortunately, I don't have a CBA Plat CC, so don't know what their travel insurance is like and therefore can't answer your question as to whether it would cover you on your trip to USA. Unless others here reply, if I were you I would have been calling CBA to ask them.

Also have no idea about Mondial insurance.

Any recommended site to try for a CHEAP ticket: L.A to Seattle 21st May?
Whilst there are a couple of carriers that probably fly that route, I would be looking at Alaskan Airlines...unless you have a tie in with a FF program.

The CBA insurance only covers you if you paid for your flights using the card - so by the sounds of your travel arrangements you wouldn't be covered as you're not paying for the flights (at all).

Sounds like alternate travel insurance would be the way to go.

Oh I'm paying for flights...nothing is free!

Sorry - I misunderstood your statement 'flying back on new plane (pickup from Boeing)' - figured that meant you were travelling at no cost as part of an aircraft positioning exercise.

If you're paying for your flights using your CBA Plat card you'll be covered with travel insurance - and the only time I've needed to claim on my CBA insurance the process went smoothly and the claim was processed and paid with a minimum of fuss. We were repaid for missed flights, unused pre-paid accommodation and emergency clothing purchases from a lost bag that resulted from an 8-hour weather delay out of JFK.
