Cathay reopens The Bridge lounge

How does the Deck compare to Pier F? Is there any reason to go to the Deck of Pier other than possibly proximity to a gate?
It was _alright_ when I was last through. Honestly? Felt more like putting something in place that was good quality but more to stop folk complaining they have to walk to the pier.

It's not a long walk. And I love the pier. Deck's good. But I wouldn't call it F.

If time poor and departing nearby, would you go to the Deck or QF?

If you prefer a white sparkling wine that is Champagne, then the deck.

(Unless you are P1/CL/First and know the secret Qantas password)

Yeah, there is that. But I was thinking more of the overall ambience and food etc.

I’ve actually not been to the revamped QF lounge. I always make a beeline to one or other CX F lounges.

Last visit was literally a day prior to the changeover and we were directed away from the Deck to the Wing F.

Anyway, I have three more HKG transits this year. Might get to check out the Bridge, Deck and QF (if SYD+1 indulges me…).

Probably the Deck, to be honest. Don't get me wrong, the QF lounge is nice. I am just a bit of a sucker for CX when in HK.

I'll be in HKG for a 24hr transit in a few months' time, the last time I was there was in Jan this year, before The Bridge re-opened.

My go-to is The Pier though.

This time round, will be visiting all eligible lounges (Pier / Wing / Bridge and QF) during a lounge hopping morning / afternoon there :)

A friend has a 3hr 50min layover in HKG travelling J - which in opinion of AFF brains trust is best lounge to spend her time please?

I was going to ask the same question for a 4-hour layover I'm having there next month ... but can I add a supplementary question: which lounge has the best Asian food options, or are they all much the same in that regard?

Assuming you're talking about J lounges, from memory the Wing J lounge had the noodle bar with a decent selection of Asian options. Not sure how that compares to the other J lounges though.

Which one has that long manned bar - or do they all have them?
ISTR The upstairs wing business has a longish bar - that from last year's lounge crawl, so a little vague.

There have been renovations going on to the adjacent Wing First, I'm not sure if the bar has been affected.
