CX 100 to HKG on 06/11/25 was taxing for take off on 34L when there was a sudden right turn to the aircraft parking area across from Terminal 1. The Captain announced he had a warning indication on one engine. The aircraft returned to a gate at T1. Approximately 2 hours later, after the engineers working on the issue, the flight finally departed.

@tomlee1986 , another B773ER (B-KQY) ended up operating CX105 from HKG to MEL. On Wednesday 10 December, its scheduled 0030 hours departure turned into takeoff at 0744 local time, meaning an uncomfortable night for all travellers. It arrived MEL at 1917 hours, 407 minutes late.

The return flight CX104 (the 1535 hours) took off at 2103 hours. HKG gate arrival should be about 0253 hours on Thursday 11, 303 minutes late.

This arrival time in HKG won’t be good to anyone because only possible transport are night buses (infrequent) or taxi!!

The 1905 hours CX111 from HKG to SYD on Wednesday 10 December 2025 took off at 2021 with A359 B-LQE. As at 0752 on Thursday 11, it was in a holding pattern above Broke, NSW (slightly southwest of Singleton) with gate arrival suggested as 0816 hours, 61 late.

This aircraft should form CX110, the timetabled 0845 hours back to HKG that is likely to be delayed until at least 0945 hours in pushing back.

On Monday 19 January 2026, CX162, the scheduled 1105 hours SYD-HKG (B773ER B-KPY) is delayed for the third time in four day.

It took off at 1213 hours with FR24 claiming that instead of the timetabled 1730 hours at gate arrival, it will be 1901 hours (1856 landing, plus my arbitrary five minutes for taxiing to gate).

This seems an exaggeration based on recent days' operations, @tomlee1986 . Quite often, after the flight has been at cruise for a while, FR24 corrects this and comes up with a less delayed time for landing. I don't know why this is occurring with FR24.

This is because of late incoming aircraft- the 135 took off last night at 2059 instead of 1905 and arrived at MEL @0829 instead of 0710
