Currently looks like it will pass close to HK as a Super Typhoon the morning on 24th.

Would be very close.
Keep an eye out, we might get to see a few CX planes parked at SYD all day midweek next week.

Qantas will supsend HKG services mid week this week due to airport closure from Typhoon.
Please contact Qantas for rescheduling.
I actually wonder why the rescheduling period does no include 23rd and 24th? Have they been cancelled?

Because Qantas is jumping the gun. All local newspaper (in English and in Cantonese) are clear that this is still a "may" / "is considering" rather than a fact (as of 1238pm HKT on 22 Sept).

Or CX is still hesitant but Qantas is more affirmative?

It might be related to insurance payouts etc - CX probably waiting for someone like the airport to tell them that we are done here for a few hours rather than being proactive on company ground.

Cathay Pacific has announced in the press conference minutes ago that there will be complete suspension of operation from HKG from 6pm Hong Kong time tomorrow (23/9).
Whilst HKG airport will remain open, it is unlikely planes will be departing and arriving until 25th September.

CX111 - B-LRE on A359 on 21/09 departed almost 3 hrs late at 2157 instead of 1910 and arrived at 0833 instead of 0610, hence the return as CX110 is arriving now at 1728 instead of 1515 after taking off @ 1026 instead of 0740 on 22/09
