CX146 (the 0805 hours CNS up to HKG on Sunday 18 March 2018, A333 B-HLS) did not become airborne until 1207. Expected arrival is 1723 this afternoon local time, 243 minutes tardy.

CX134 (MEL-HKG) Sunday 8-Apr-2018 made a sudden diversion to MNL account medical emergency. Reporting as "our woman on the spot" Mrs C said the Australian-voiced pilot must've been a Stuka pilot in a previous life as she's never been in a plane (A350-900) that's descended from cruising altitude so fast. Apparently will depart MNL at 1500 with arrival into HKG at approx 1655 (~145 minutes late).

coriander, you need to compliment Mrs C on the quality of her 'woman on the spot' report.

I assume the flight was given priority. Hopefully an ambulance was waiting. Good quality of medical care in that country. As at 1734 AEDT (1534 Philippines/ Hong Kong time), CX134 (A350 B-LRX) looks to be taxiing in MNL. If it takes off at say 1545, this means a roughly 1740 arrival at the HKG gate for Mrs C to bid adieu as flying time is about 110 minutes.

Love to know how many Australian pilots work for CX. The only nationalities "driving" I've had on that airline have been Poms or Australians, but no doubt not exhaustive.

Today is the third consecutive day that B-LRX has been on CX135, the 1905 hours redeye HKG down to MEL and the returning CX134 conveying redoubtable Mrs C. If it's having a fourth round trip tonight, that will get away a little late ex HKG.

Mrs C messaged me at 1452 MNL time that they were "preparing for departure" but that the medical team had only just arrived on the aircraft. She's currently offline.
