Cathay Manila Lounge

The PAGGS lounges in MNL (T1 and T3) leave much to be desired re their food offerings.
We hit the A lounge (via Priority Pass) for a shower. The food there was worse.

And the mould in the shower… urgh🤮

Amazing what you’ll put up with after 24h in transit.

Edit: All the contract lounges are full.

PAGGS is even turning away QF WPs.

The FT thread cited above is now reporting that this lounge will be re-opening in the next few days (phew!).

Ouch
Was in there a few weeks ago
Chalk and cheese vs the PP lounges (which QF tell you to go to). They were very crowded on a Sunday evening even without the CX users

Was there last week with no signs of closure, this was the only highlight when flying out of Manila T3.

I found it funny though that when the QF check in staff issued me the PAGSS lounge pass and says I know you'll head to the CX lounge but just in case... Then when I went for a quick walk to check the 'renovated' PAGSS lounge the staff member there asked if I was sure and if I needed directions to the CX lounge.

OT/PAGSS T3 lounge is terrible and just feels like a mid-90s version of the T1 sibling. Noting no showers in its new location - the old T3 lounge was actually nicer.
