Cathay co-brand credit card

Nit sure this has been discussed or not. But very keen to see a Cathay direct earning credit card available here in Australia. Any chance?

The credit card market is going backwards, not forwards, in Australia — consolidation of issuers, fewer international transfer partners, worse transfer rates, worse earn rates. I wouldn't be holding my breath for one if I were you.

CX, while having okay market share, is not a big enough player to sustain its own card in the Australian market IMO.

To add to what @levelnine has said, the best you could hope for is for AsiaMiles to remain a transfer partner (which currently they are for several banks' non-Qantas cards).

The best CX offer we ever got was CX handing out GO to Amex Plat holders for a couple of years. It was great while it lasted.
