Hi everyone,

I know on the Qantas Website it says international flights in economy are only allowed one 115cm carry on bag, but do you think I would get away with having both a 105cm bag and a smaller backpack as carry on for my flight from MEL to LAX? Before looking at that on the website I took it for granted that they'd allow you to have two pieces, but now I'm not sure.

Thanks

Sorry don't know if male or female .... if f you would have a handbag as well .... but believe either way they will say no

Actually they can't discriminate based on gender considering their international policy is a bag plus a personal item.

Is this policy somewhere on the website? All I can see on the website is "1 x 115cm (45in) bag or 1 x 185cm (73in) non rigid garment bag."

I'd link it but for some reason I can with <10 posts.

Thanks. Yeah I might be pushing it with a backpack but it small enough to stow underneath so I hope it'll be fine.

Considering the size of some of the handbags out there, you should be ok.

would the worst case scenario be gate check one bag? if so then just give it a go. how big is your back pack? I had one which could fit a 15" laptop and it was ok. I was in LA for 1 day so basically had no trouble in both directions in a very short space of time.
