Yeah, I didn't come up with the scheme. I got on board when I wanted something frivolous and couldn't justify the expense. Pretty much the same reason I like FFPs.

My mother in law had a quiet word with my wife when she heard what I was doing. Nothing worse than being married to a problem gambler. =)

How about trading accounts (like FX accounts) - has anyone tried those? May be too good to be true to be able to get points for depositing cash into the account (which can be done by card) and then withdrawing it subsequently.

Is that confirmed that they are cutting out points for gambling transactions? I know they are cutting ATO, but hadn't heard gambling transactions

when i used it last year they never earned any points (i used sportsbet), but they didn't classify it as a cash advance which was handy. has it always been earning points for you?

FYI the last time I used it was last year (i'm trying to be better and bet less haha)

Confirmed that ANZ don't pay points for gambling transactions and are treated as cash advances. Even tried depositing by PayPal and same result.
Any cards still pay points for punting?

Unsure how many Woolworths Petrol Stations have this in Victoria, but tonight did a test gamble for an entry into Tattslotto for Sat nights draw.

- Receipt says: LOTTO SALE
- Cost: $35.50 (50 game quicky)
- WW Petrol / Card approved

Made sure I tested on a card that had a current debt of $0.00, to check if it turns into a cash advance. I might then try some other brands/types of CC's once the debts are back to $0.00 / pai in full on due date.

Hi everyone. I've been a AFF member for quite awhile now but this is my first post?

I am a semi professional punter and now that gambling transactions on the Jetstar MasterCard are going to be treated as a cash advance as of 28 October, I am without a points earning credit card for gambling transactions. I turn over between $5K and $10K a month and have been doing quite nicely on the FF points front.

Does anyone know of any other card that can earn points on gambling transactions?
