Re: Capital connect services Ex CBR

First time on the ATR yesterday on the CBR to SYD run. Interior is like my old school bus - white, white and white with the back of the seat only going to my shoulder. Snack to Syd was cheese and crackers with a choice of water or juice and tea or coffee to follow. Coming back on the wonderful E190 it was a dipping sauce with some tiny breadstick things, juice or water or beer or wine.

Does anyone think they will put coloured headrests like the rest of the fleet - or would that be too hard now?

I’d have imagined that if they were going to do that, they would have already.

I would have thought headrests would have been a mandatory safety inclusion! They are in cars.

The other thng i hated about the ATR was that you could hear a pin drop until they started up the engines. Was uncomfortably silent. It was also stifling in the cabin until the props started up.

Yeah they will need to do something about that once summer hits. Pax are going to get roasted.

Also, have they sped up the process yet of starting the things up, or disembarking. All the earlier flights I have been on, it was a painful wait after landing before they let you out, and likewise on startup, you seem to sit in the oven for ages before they kick it in the guts. Still, I much prefer the ATR over the Dash8, but much prefer the embraer to either

Sorry if this has been asked/discussed before, but I just wanted to have a vent about Virgin's capital connect services.

Departed MEL-CBR, as I do alot of the time. This time 18.10. Flexi fare and was served a chocolate thing and some nuts. Now, I appreciate that saver/flexi's all get served the same on these flights, but seriously? If I was travelling to Sydney, I would be served a wrap, or something more substantial.

On another note, the MEL lounge was serving up the exact same cheese and grape combo as served in business class out of meal times...... pathetic.

I have moved your post to a thread where it has been noted that the catering on these "cap con" services appears to be rather reduced when compared to other DJ services of similar timing.

Yeah it's a bit annoying sometimes, but I guess it's a quick flight.
