Cant find any Velocity reward seats to Europe?

I have been scrolling the Velocity site looking for reward seats (2) Syd-Dub for a couple of days in either Econ or Bus but have nothing for next 6 mths +.
This seams a bit odd as last year had no problems finding available seats?

Anyboby finding same problem?

Yes I have noticed that but that only half way I have tried LHR but still nothing

I'm looking in the other direction to LAX and there is nothing - whether that be 1 month or 11 months time.

You are best to call Velocity as EY flights are not shown online

In my experience, whether or not the VFF website shows partner award availability comes and goes apparently randomly (not a very professional look, VA!). The call centre folks should give you a definitive answer, despite it being an unnecessarily frustrating experience.

Yes I did ring the call centre and although helpful they didn't find too many and couldn't give any explanation why.

Velocity needs to lift their game and have a move user friendly web experience, having said that last year I booked 2 trips to Europe and found plenty of availability on the Website only used the call centre to vary and put in a side trip.

What dates ? I just put in 10NOV15 and seats available in J/ PY / Y BNE LAX

Maybe it's a miracle or VFF was watching the thread, because some availability now appears. Every date I tried in April, September and August hadn't worked!

It really does come and go...

Since the 'upgrade' of having Singapore Air reward flights show in the online booking engine I've noted that Etihad flights are harder to find...

Absolutely nothing in J to LHR or DUB with Etihad or Virgin Int for the next 12 months!! There are one or two SQ at 145,000 each way

This is even worse than QF..... OMG - did I just say that!!

I always check though Etihad guest just to double check, if I find something a call to VA normally sorts it out. Having a quick look random date Sep 13 SYD - LHR nothing with VA Etihad shows reward seat.My understanding is that its should be bookable. SQ is even worse I would never look for SQ via VA or book for that matter

Etihad is showing reward seats pretty much every day though October.

Don't forget you can always transfer to KF and book SQ or *A. Unless you are going around absolute peak times its pretty hard NOT to find a seat.

I have also been looking at reward flights to Europe mostly searching to and from Milan Jan/ Feb and they come and go. As you are unable to combine Reward flights with Any Seat Rewards, when searching specific dates the Reward flights seem to be hidden unless there is availability on both the departing and return dates selected. I see more availability when searching for one way reward flights. Hope this makes sense. Overall the ability to search for return flights to Europe both points or paid, seems to be very unstable at present.

Hi again, Something else I am finding when searching paid flights on the Virgin site this morning, if I choose an Etihad flight departing Sydney, then the Singapore Airlines flights available for return disappear and vice versa. In Jun last year I flew Etihad to LHR then Singapore Airlines return to SYD booked and paid as one ticket on Virgin site. It is all becoming very frustrating, particularly when it is so easy to book on other airlines sites.

Yes, according to other posts but you have to ring VA and speak to an agent

And to make matters worse, there seems to be some variability in whether or not any particular agent will see availability. You may need to HUACA (Hang Up And Call Again) if they say there's nothing showing despite what the Etihad site says.

Not always ... airlines can offer more seats to their own members than they do others, however you can use the EY availability as a guide
