Can this be done online? Believe it or not after flying J on the A380 I just don't feel I need anything more than I got and might use the points to try to upgrade from Y+ next time instead.

Sometimes it can be3 done online -other times not.

If not than a call to QFF asking them to remove the upgrade request does the trick.

I'm trying to work out whether to cancel. Sitting in a fantastic Mexican restaurant drinking aged tequila atm and leaning towards trying it after all- have never been F in my life and I know how to generate the points if I really get stuck..

If my stats ( 0/4 J/F on A380) on upgrade requests are anything to go by you'll be keeping those points anyway ;)

Be prepared to fly in Y+

Only someone who hasn't experienced A380 F thinks they don't need any more ;) For the measely points amount it's good value upgradin' IMO.

By your comment I assume you are in Mexico and not a mexican restaurant/bar in Australia, so if you have requested an F upgrade, your flight home would be departing LAX at the normal time just before midnight. I would fly J on the way home and save your points until you can perhaps get a F seat on a flight out of Australia. There is no Flounge on your departure from the US; it is night time flight so you will hopefully be sleeping most of the way and not get the benefit of a great meal, great seat and entertainment etc because you will be tired.

Luckily, I have never experienced A380F! I think I agree with Maca44, J is luxurious enough for a few movies on the laptop and a nap. I think Y+ to J would be more value, or a JASA....although I might try DJ Y+ to the US next time and save up the QF points for a RTW at some time in the future.
