Has anyone had any luck with changing or cancelling a hotel booking made with a Points Club (Plus) voucher?
I was going to be flying out of Brisbane later in the year but Qantas moved all my international flights and now its easier for me to fly out of Sydney. Unfortunately I booked a hotel room in Brisbane using a $100 voucher from attaining Points Club Plus status and when I got to cancel the booking the $100 will not be refunded/credited back. So I lose it.
The fine print states: "Vouchers issued by Qantas are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Vouchers can only be used once and any unused portion of a voucher will be forfeited. The value of the voucher will not be refunded and no replacement voucher will be issued when canceling a booking. If you change or cancel a booking, any hotel fee amount will be deducted from the amount paid by you, up to a maximum of the amount originally paid by you. The hotel fee value cannot be paid using the voucher value."
Seems a tad unfair seeing as though Qantas screwed my flights in the first place.
