G'day,

I have unfortunately booked a flight back from TKY to BNE last night and this morning the DSC is out. So, can I:

1. Cancel this flight I booked from TKY to BNE. And then rebook to get DSC on a single leg flight back from TKY to BNE? When I booked this it charged me in Yen and said it was taking me to the "Japanese site" for booking

Is this possible? Given that it was just last night I booked, will there be a cancellation fee if I go ahead and cancel the booking?

Thank you.

My understanding Qantas has "same day no mistake" policy. Says no penalty change until midnight same day. Given the trip was booked originating in Japan, could it be that your booking actually happened today (calendar date?).

I think that only relates to changes though rather than cancellations. They don't seem to offer the free 24 hour cancellation policy we have here in Australia. The Japan site for the relevant policy is -:

To he eligible for free cancellation within 24 hours of booking, travel needs to originate in Australia and be more than 30 days in advance.

Note, this is not "Same Day, No Mistake" where some changes are allowed on the same calendar day of booking (but not cancellation).

No, this is not "Same Day, No Mistake" where some changes are allowed (but not cancellation) on the same calendar day of booking.

For cancellation with 24 hours, travel needs to originate in Australia (or involve the USA).

Yeah, may be not worth it. Will put this to just bad luck and move on. Appreciate all the msgs :)
