I am looking at booking a SYD-NRT saver fare. As it a 10 hour night flight it would be great to try for a points upgrade. When I look at the Saver fare details on the booking page it states that red E deals are not able to be upgraded, but makes no mention of whether the saver fare can be upgraded. Any ideas?

What is the fare bucket you are booked into?

Also have you tried on line to see if an upgrade autopsy I'd offered?

i have not actually booked. It just comes up as SAVER. I want to know before I book if this fare is eligible for an upgrade. I don't know how to work out fare bucket as I never can work that out until I have an e ticket??
