Can you redeem Qatar Avios for a friend?

I would like to redeem some Qatar Avios for 2 friends not travelling with me, is it possible if they are not family ? If yes , how to do it ?
 
I had the same question.
As far as I know you can redeem for anyone. Just log in. Book the flights and fill in their names. If the computer says no, you will have your answer. But the middle eastern Airlines do not have any Qantas like restrictions. So you should be right.
 
I've booked flights for family who do not share the same last name as what's on the account and never had any issues.
